A 16-year-old boy has been sentenced to 90 days' detention after he damaged a bus windscreen by throwing a block of ice at the vehicle.
The Perthshire Advertiser reports that Jordan Cumming was also ordered to pay £200 in compensation in relation to the incident, which took place on Station Road in Kinross earlier this year.
Perth Sheriff Court heard that the youth needed two hands to lift the ice, which was thrown after the bus driver paid no attention to snowballs thrown at his vehicle.
According to the newspaper, Sheriff Robert McCreadie said the act was "utterly reprehensible".
He added: "You hit the windscreen in front of the driver. That is beyond all reasonable belief."
This is Lancashire recently revealed that a local couple are recovering after a vandal threw a brick at their car as it was travelling along Deane's Wigan Road.
The attack took place on Friday morning (June 4th).
