Five motorists in Penarth, south Wales, have been left in need of rear windscreen replacements after their vehicles were targeted by yobs.
The spree of vandalism took place overnight between January 14th and 15th on Mountjoy Avenue, Mountjoy Close, Victoria Road and St David's Crescent, the Penarth Times reports.
As well as the rear panel of car glass being damaged, the vandals also broke the vehicles' wiper blades.
Neighbourhood Police Constable Steve Gunney said: "I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward regarding this unusual spate of vehicle damage."
He went on to say that it was "very rare" for this type of incident to take place in Penarth and that it "will not be tolerated".
Earlier this month, a teenager was arrested over damage caused to a vehicle in Bedford Street at Brooklyn Park in Australia.
The incident occurred on the night of Monday January 10th at around 23:00 (local time).
