An English football fan has shelled out more than £15,000 for a number plate that will leave other drivers in no doubt about where his allegiances lie. With England set to take on France this evening in their opening game of the Euro 2012 championship, publican Brian Brody will surely be listening to the match in his car which bears the new number plate EN61 AND. Mr Brody bought the plate as part of an auction organised by the DVLA at London's City Hall. According to a report by MSN Cars, the auction winner simply "couldn't resist" bidding for the highly-prized number plate. A number of other personalised registrations went under the hammer, including the Olympic-themed plates REL 44Y and RUN 3R. These were presented to their new owners by 4x400m relay Olympic silver medallist Iwan Thomas, who is also an ambassador for this year's Games. They fetched £730 and £2,548 respectively. The registration BU11 DOG also attracted a considerable amount of attention at the auction, finally selling for £16,400.
