Laguna selected as Safety Car

Vehicle manufacturer Renault has announced its new Laguna Coupe will be the official Safety Car for three of Renault Sport UK's motorsport championships.
The auto, which hit the UK market earlier this year, can be seen leading the field in the ELF Renault Clip Cup and the Michelin Formula Renault UK Championships - both support events to the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC).
It can also now be seen for the first time in the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship - a feeder series to the national-level Formula Renault UK event.
The company chose the GT version of the motor, which features a 205 bhp 2.0-litre turbo engine.
Also included in the vehicle is the firm's 4Control Chassis - a four-wheel steering system offering improved manoeuvrability and sharper response.
Simon North, Championship Manager for all three series, said: "The role of the Safety Car is extremely important in all of our championships and requires a car that can safely lead a field of more than 25 drivers and do so at high speed."
Meanwhile, Auto Windscreens recently announced it is sponsoring BTCC Driver Mat Jackson.
