Auto Windscreens Technician Crowned Apprentice of the Year

Auto Windscreens is delighted to announce that Technician Sam Cox has been named Markerstudy Group’s Apprentice of the Year 2018.

Sam, who is based in Chesterfield, received the award during a prestigious graduation ceremony last week (18th July) that celebrated the achievements of 28 young people who have completed the Group’s 2018 Apprenticeship Learning Experience (ALEX) programme. The event, held at One Warwick Park in Tunbridge Wells, was hosted by the Group’s CEO.

Apprentices were applauded for their overall success, before three special prizes were given to those who demonstrated enthusiasm, commitment and dedication to their development throughout the award-winning programme. Sam claimed the top accolade while Jack Meazza, another Auto Windscreens Technician, and Millie Madin, Group Contact Centre Process Co-ordinator, received Special Commendation awards.

Ewan Freeman, Markerstudy Group’s Apprenticeship Programme Manager, commented: “We are incredibly proud of our ALEX apprentices and what they have achieved over the past year. They have worked hard to increase their skills and knowledge, while gaining workplace experience. I’m sure they will continue to excel during their careers as we look to welcome more young people into our business.”

Markerstudy Group’s ALEX initiative is now in its third year and is fully endorsed and regulated by OFSTED, with inspectors highly commending the programme earlier this year.

Previous graduates have gone on to have very successful careers and 25 undergraduates are already in place for the 2019 ALEX apprenticeship starting in September.
