Meet the team

We have a new team of directors, all of whom have worked for us for many years – in fact, for 86 years combined! Here’s a chance to get to know everyone a bit better (clockwise from top right):

James MacBeth, Managing Director

I started at Auto Windscreens as a trainee technician in 1992. I’m from a small Scottish fishing village called Mallaig. I live in Falkirk now, so work away from home, predominantly at head office in Chesterfield, in the network or in London. My weekends are spent with my wife, Eleanor, my three children and my dog, Marley. My grandfather was a steam engine driver and dad was a boatbuilder, so I’ve long had an interest in anything mechanical. I enjoy renovating and selling boats, and my latest project is a 28 foot Bayliner, which I’ve named after my wife. I get itchy feet if I can’t participate in some kind of watersport, so I can often be found kayaking, windsurfing or snorkeling off the West Coast of Scotland.

James Reynolds, Commercial Director

I’m into my tenth year with Auto Windscreens, and now look after the sales, transport, facilities, MI, projects and governance teams. I’m a proper geek, I’m a qualified accountant and studied Physics at university. I live in Nottingham with my wife and two young boys, aged two and 20 weeks, as well as a nine-year old Boxer dog, called Cooper, who’s a good laugh. I play football and squash and try to keep fit but at the moment the boys take up most of my time, going swimming and to the park.

Spencer Jones, Operations Director

I’ve worked for Auto Windscreens for 28 years. I run the operations of our network which includes 310 technicians, 20 Area Service Managers and four Regional Service Managers. I also have a commitment to customer service. I split my time between Swansea and Chesterfield and currently live in Chesterfield with my partner Lucy, daughter Sofia and two Chihuahuas called Alfie and Archie. When I’m in Swansea I enjoy watching The Swans play football. As a huge rugby fan I’m looking forward to the Six Nations and have tickets to go and watch England vs Wales at Twickenham.

Claire Church, Director of Service Delivery

I joined Auto Windscreens 20 years ago as a Call Centre Agent. My role is to look after service delivery, including supply chain, business validation and resource planning. I’ve lived in Chesterfield all my life, am married and have two children, Megan, who’s at college and works for Auto Windscreens part time, and Oliver, who’s in his last year at school. Football takes up a large part of my time at weekends. I love to socialise with friends and family with a few glasses of wine, enjoy taking my dogs for walks and going on holiday to the South of France.
