We’ve held regional heats in June and July, with the last, in Swansea, to take place on Tuesday (16 July).
We’ve had 18 compete from all over the UK this year, from Canterbury in the South to Newcastle in the North.
Each technician has undertaken two windscreen replacements and has been challenged to set up access equipment suitable to work on a 7.5 tonne lorry. Scoring is based on how competitors demonstrate the correct processes and techniques, as well as use of the Panther Pro wire cutting tool, Panther Fit glass lift, PPE, safety gloves and sleeves and vehicle sheets. Competitors are also scored on their customer care skills and customer engagement.
