A new fully electric plug in vehicle will be used by the rapid response team in London

Wednesday, 2 May 2018

Auto Windscreens is thrilled to announce the addition of a fully electric plug in vehicle, a Citroen Berlingo, to its fleet. The vehicle will be used by the rapid response technician team and will service the London area.

Using an electric vehicle would provide a significant fuel usage and cost saving; and the introduction is in line with wider plans to introduce electric charging points in the automotive windscreen repair and replacement provider nationwide hub network for technicians and customers to use.

Rupert Armitage, Managing Director at Auto Windscreens’, comments: “We’re committed to playing our part in looking after the environment and this introduction will help us to reduce our carbon footprint. We already recycle 100% of all windscreens replaced and this activity will also enable us to trial how electric vehicles could fit into our fleet in major cities going forward.”
