Auto Windscreens Introduces 120 New Vans Featuring Improved Awnings
Auto Windscreens has introduced 120 new Ford Transit Custom vans into its fleet, complete with stylish advanced wet weather awnings.
Auto Windscreens, a UK leader in vehicle glass repairs and replacements, has introduced 120 new Ford Transit Custom vans into its fleet, complete with stylish advanced wet weather awnings.
The vehicles, supplied by Perrys Ford in Chesterfield, have been rolled out across the UK over the past two months as part of Auto Windscreens’ 2016 growth plans and brand realignment following its acquisition of AA AutoWindshields last year. The company now commands a 400-strong Ford fleet, headed up by Fleet Manager, Russell Hall.
Russell said: “We are highly impressed with the new Fords, both in terms of efficiency and design. The Custom model was selected to ensure we can continue to transport all types of windscreens as they become larger to give drivers better overall vision and account for up to 36% of an entire vehicle structure in some cases.”
Of the awnings, produced by The Awning Company, he added: “These have been a fantastic addition to our vans and are a vast improvement on the previous solution used on our older fleet stock. They are lightweight and easy to use, while also being robust enough to withstand highly adverse weather conditions, meaning our technicians can keep working and serving our customers no matter what.”
