Seventy-four individuals kindly gave up their Friday night last week (18th March) to take donation calls at Auto Windscreens’ contact centre in Chesterfield for Sport Relief 2016 – one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events.
Staff and their friends and family, wearing sporty fancy dress, helped take calls from 7pm to midnight from members of the public wanting to pledge funds for the cause.
The call centre team were also proud to join in the fun and games themselves, all in the name of charity, raising £325 independently through cake sales and a raffle.
“We are so impressed with all of our staff and their friends and families for their support this Sport Relief,” said Graham Partlow, who heads up Auto Windscreens’ contact centre. “Every year they dedicate their own time to help make it a great success by taking donation calls. It was a fantastic night with an incredible atmosphere and they really did themselves proud by participating in our own fundraising activities too.”
Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives. Half of all the money the public raise is spent by Comic Relief right here at home in the UK, with the other half used to make a difference in the world’s poorest communities.
