Auto Windscreens Welcomes Chesterfield's Mayor and Mayoress

Wednesday, 19 Mar 2025

Auto Windscreens recently had the honour of hosting the Mayor of Chesterfield, Councillor Jenny Flood, and Mayoress Heather Hopkinson at our head office. The visit showcased our dedication to apprenticeships and community involvement.

Managing Director James MacBeth shared insights into our successful apprenticeship programme, which has supported 200 learners since 2016. He also highlighted our colleagues' volunteer work, regular foodbank collections, and recent charity appeal for Pathways of Chesterfield.

"It was fantastic to see the Mayor and Mayoress at our head office and to share what we do at Auto Windscreens," said James MacBeth. "We've always been keen to do our bit and last year, the team donated £32,000 to good causes, with more than 160 colleagues spending just shy of 600 hours volunteering across the UK. We'll be continuing to do whatever we can for the communities around us through 2025 and beyond."

The Mayor and Mayoress expressed their admiration for Auto Windscreens' commitment to offering opportunities, jobs, and skills to people in Chesterfield and around the country. They were particularly impressed by the company's encouragement of volunteer work and its positive impact on the community.

This visit underscores Auto Windscreens' ongoing dedication to nurturing local talent and supporting the communities we serve. As we move forward, we remain committed to making a positive difference both in Chesterfield and across the UK.
