Auto Windscreens Wins Fleet News Award
We’re celebrating after lifting the ‘Most Improved Fleet of the Year’ trophy at the Fleet News Awards on Wednesday night (11th March). We were also Highly Commended in the ‘Fleet of the Year – up to 1,000 Vehicles’ category.
Held at Grosvenor House, Park Lane in London, the awards ‘represent the pinnacle of fleet achievement’ and ‘ensure only the very best companies and people are victorious’.
Over the past two years, we’ve focused heavily on developing a connected and engaged fleet to manage risk and safety successfully. This involved introducing a telematics solution which integrated cutting-edge 3G connected cameras from VisionTrack with a real-time platform from Webfleet, to provide indisputable evidence against personal injury claims and reduce its loss ratio with its insurer. We’ve also worked with BP Target Neutral to maintain our carbon neutral status since 2018 and switched to a new vehicle leasing provider for a better service and to minimise our environmental impact.
Among other improvements made, we became the first glass supplier to introduce electric vehicle charging points at its sites, switched to a national tyre and MOT provider to reduce cost and introduced a bespoke fleet management system.
Shaun Atton, Auto Windscreens’ Group Fleet Manager, commented: “To say I’m over the moon with this accolade is an understatement! I’m so proud of the whole team involved. We’ve made a staggering number of improvements to our fleet over the last year which are reducing costs, increasing road safety and streamlining systems to benefit our workforce. To have this recognised by this award is a fitting tribute to every single one of our technicians, who work so hard to keep everyone else on the road”.
