Auto Windscreens wins ‘Fleet of the Year’ at the Fleet News Awards
The ‘going’ was good for Auto Windscreens yesterday (6 July) after we finished first in the ‘Fleet of the Year – up to 1,000 vehicles’ category at the Fleet News Awards 2021, held at Ascot Racecourse.
The Fleet News Awards, incorporating the Commercial Fleet Awards for the first time, honours and recognises excellence across every part of the fleet sector.
Our entry focused on how we have invested in Webfleet telematics software and VisionTrack cameras, driver training and a bespoke fleet management system, all of which have helped to reduce insurance claims and costs. We also outlined how Shaun Atton, Head of Fleet and Facilities has led the business in becoming carbon neutral, offsetting 16,843 tonnes of emissions with BP Target Neutral.
Shaun commented: “We took the ‘hurdles’ of 2020-21 at a gallop – we haven’t let the pandemic slow us down. We’ve continued to implement new processes and initiatives across the fleet, which have made such a positive impact over the past 12 months. I’m so proud of my team and what we’ve achieved as a business and fleet - we’re clearly going places!”
