Pilkington re-appointed as primary glass supplier
Our contract with Pilkington, part of the global NSG Group, has been renegotiated and extended. Following a successful, ongoing six-year relationship, Pilkington will continue to supply glass to the our 70+ service centres throughout the UK.
Pilkington’s stability and supply of European manufactured glass, as well as its focus on environmental sustainability put it ahead of the competition and aligned with our strategy to minimise our carbon footprint. Together, we are looking to progress our ‘rapid automated part transfer process’.
James MacBeth, Auto Windscreens’ Managing Director, commented: “It’s fitting that in our 50th year, we’re continuing our established partnership with Pilkington, a well-known, historical brand. We’re proud to be working together, offering the highest quality products, staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements, and providing the excellent levels of service and standards our customers expect.”
Stuart Boon, NSG AGR European Director, said: “From the start, Auto Windscreens were looking for an agreement that would support their long-term development. The rapid growth in Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems and head-up display (HUD) windscreens therefore made an OE manufacturer with industry-leading technology an essential part of the supplier requirements. We are delighted that Pilkington has been chosen to meet these standards and to incorporate a countrywide service model into the arrangement.”
