Auto Windscreens has opened its 16th new glass repair and replacement centre of 2016 in Coventry, with plans to have launched 60 sites in total by September next year.

Auto Windscreens has opened its 16th new glass repair and replacement centre of 2016 in Coventry, with plans to have launched 60 sites in total by September next year.

The new unit adds to Fitting Hubs and larger Area Deployment Centres (ADC) now operational in:
• Belfast
• Derby
• Exeter
• Hull
• Ipswich
• Leeds
• Leicester
• Milton Keynes (Flagship ADC)
• Newcastle
• Norwich
• Peterborough
• Portsmouth
• Preston
• Oxford
• Romford.

The decision to re-open a fixed-base network followed recognition that customers benefitted from the choice of having their vehicle glass repaired either by a mobile technician at a location of their choosing or at a designated centre. Previously the company operated a wholly mobile fleet-based service.

Coventry was identified as an operational ‘hotspot’ and the new site will now help Auto Windscreens deliver an improved service to local motorists.

Rupert Armitage, Auto Windscreens’ Managing Director, commented: “We have introduced Auto Windscreens Fitting Hubs across the UK to give our customers an improved service. Coventry is the newest addition to our network. It will help us offer customers in the area a flexible option when it comes to the location of their windscreens repair or replacement, and provide our technicians with a suitable base when dealing with complex screens, with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for example.”

Looking to 2017, he added: “It will be an exciting year as the business evolves further and delivers on strategic growth plans. We will continue to roll-out further units in areas we feel will benefit, creating a comprehensive centre-based network of 60 sites.”
