The cheek of it - man gets work logo tattooed on bum for Sport Relief

Wednesday, 23 Mar 2016

Not many people would have their employer’s logo tattooed on their bottom but that is exactly what ‘cheeky’ Spencer Jones of Auto Windscreens did in the name of Sport Relief yesterday.

Not many people would have their employer’s logo tattooed on their bottom but that is exactly what ‘cheeky’ Spencer Jones of Auto Windscreens did in the name of Sport Relief yesterday.

Spencer, from Swansea, raised over £500 for the charity by having the ‘bootyful’ inking on his derriere. It came about after he made a bet with a colleague last week that they wouldn’t break the UK windscreen repairer’s record for the most jobs done in one day – he lost the bet!

“I can’t believe I actually went through with it,” said Spencer, who is a Regional Manager at the UK windscreen repair company and has worked there for 25 years. “I always stick by my word and agreed to have the tattoo if people sponsored me to do it for Sport Relief.”

Not wanting to be the butt of any jokes, Spencer made sure the body art was professionally done at a studio in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, near the business’ headquarters.

Jokingly he added: “It’s all ‘behind’ me now, there’s no going back. I’ve always been committed to Auto Windscreens, loving the people and what I do, but it’s ridiculous that I now have the logo on my bum!”

Auto Windscreens is one of the UK’s largest vehicle glass repair companies in the UK. Its staff also took part in cake sales, fancy dress and a raffle to fundraise for Sport Relief. James MacBeth, its Operations Director, said: “Spencer is an incredibly professional and loyal member of our team, but is always game to help a good cause. What he has done to help raise funds for Sport Relief is fantastic and we are all in awe of him.”
