Community Save a Life Scheme’s ‘999 appeal’

Friday, 26 May 2023

We are supporting a charity dedicated to promoting the need for more people with first aid skills.

CSALS (Community Save a Life Scheme) provides a free online first aid course, offered in partnership with Virtual College. Practical first aid training is also delivered to schools and organisations.

To help fund its work, CSALS launched a 999 Appeal, offering companies the opportunity to demonstrate their support by paying £999. In return, supporters receive practical first aid training, together with other benefits.

Debra Johnson, CSALS’ community facilitator, said: “We are delighted to have received support from a company of Auto Windscreens’ standing.

“It is heart-warming that a business with such an impressive reputation values the work we are doing in the community.”

Shaun Atton, Business Support Director at Auto Windscreens said: “We take our responsibilities to the community around us and the wellbeing of our employees very seriously. We will be making the first aid training courses from CSALS available to all colleagues and their families. Should an emergency occur, they will have the knowledge to enable them to preserve life until medical help arrives.”
