Auto Windscreens has expanded its presence in Scotland with the opening of two new service centres in Paisley and Rosyth, following significant growth in demand for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibrations.

The company has reported a 134% increase in ADAS calibrations across the south of Scotland between January and July 2026 when compared with the same period in 2023. The growth has led to the opening of new facilities at Nethercommon Industrial Estate in Paisley and Viking Way in Rosyth, increasing Auto Windscreens' Scottish network to seven service centres.

ADAS technology is becoming increasingly common in modern vehicles, with systems such as lane departure warning, emergency braking and traffic sign recognition relying on cameras and sensors that often require recalibration following a windscreen replacement. As more vehicles are fitted with these technologies, demand for specialist calibration services continues to rise.

The new locations have been selected to improve accessibility for customers across both urban and rural communities. By expanding its network, Auto Windscreens aims to provide a more convenient experience while reducing travel times and distances for customers requiring calibration services.

"We've seen a huge increase in demand for ADAS calibrations following windscreen replacements in the south of Scotland since 2023. This has informed our decision to open these two new sites, taking the number of service centres we have in the country to seven.

"Our Paisley and Rosyth locations mean we can serve customers in rural areas more efficiently and they can reach us quicker. This July, the average distances travelled by customers using our sites in the south of Scotland and the Glasgow area more than halved compared to July last year."

The trend is reflected across the wider UK, where Auto Windscreens has seen ADAS calibration volumes increase by 91% over the same period since 2023.

Looking ahead, the business expects demand to continue growing as vehicle manufacturers introduce new safety technologies and regulations drive increased adoption across the automotive sector. Auto Windscreens has confirmed it will continue reviewing opportunities for further investment and expansion in Scotland to support future demand.
