‘It’s a Knockout’ charity challenge held in Chesterfield on Friday (23 September) has raised over £1,100 for Ashgate Hospicecare

An Auto Windscreens ‘It’s a Knockout’ charity challenge held in Chesterfield on Friday (23 September) has raised over £1,100 for Ashgate Hospicecare.

Some 130 staff at the site were sponsored to take part in a series of fun and competitive activities including an inflatable obstacle course, human table football, and a relay race in sumo wrestler costumes as part of the company’s annual fundraising day. The winning team, The Sorcerer & His Apprentices, took home the coveted winners’ trophy presented by Lynn Jones from Ashgate Hospicecare.

A ‘bake off’ and raffle held by staff at the site who work for the Markerstudy Group of Companies, which Auto Windscreens is part of, also helped raise funds for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a national charity that aims to prevent male suicide.

All employees were encouraged to wear fancy dress linked to 2001, the year the Markerstudy Group of Companies was founded, and did not disappoint with characters from the Flintstones, Harry Potter and Monsters Inc all making an appearance.
